CHANGES
Time to start writing again. It's been over a year since I contributed. Lots of water has gone under the bridge.
We've lost Delbert's father, Red Rodgers and Delbert's mother, Hope Rodgers just about a year and a half ago. Our granddaughter was married this month in a beautiful wedding with 300 in attendance. We lost Barbara's mother, Pat Adams, this month, too. Rudy Adams across the street died. Cole's step granddad, Jack Armbruster, June's husband, over in Cape Conroe, died.
Jim and I are not feeling younger. We're okay, though. We're on our feet and moving! He continues to be symptom free with his carcinoid tumors. And apparently they are no longer growing. Thank, God!
Jeana (our daughter) got a new job that she's very happy with and is no longer working at home. She commutes to Kingwood, which is about an hour and a half drive from her home, but she's not complaining. Eric is still with the Border Patrol and looking at empty nest syndrome soon. Craig is working odd jobs in Props with a movie company, which he loves. Still living on his beloved 8 acres. Ross and Courtney have moved in together at Ross's house. They are very happy, and Ross is doing very well with his artwork and maintaining his job as Vet Tech. He's happy. I'm always glad and happy when my sons and daughter are happy.
The grandchildren are prospering and doing well. Alissa is a jr. in college. Ryan is a sophomore at UT in Austin. Katherine MacKie is graduating from college this year and will be teaching, and Danny, her brother, is graduating from high school, as is Matthew, Eric's youngest son, We'll have no more grandchildren in the lower grades. Cole High, Craig's son, will be either a Junior or a Senior in college this year. Can't keep up; it's hard.
Walden AND Montgomery County are fighting a battle with reckless drivers on the road. I cannot tell you how bad the car accidents have been. Most are caused by speed and texting. People under 50 think they're super people, and then they run into somebody head on and kill everybody involved and don't live to tell about it. So sad and scarey! Whole families are being wiped out by one clueless driver at a time.
The Democrats continue to harass Trump, and he continues to prove his metal. But the world situation is not looking good to me. It will get worse before it gets better, I'm fairly certain. The abounding ignorance is too great.
Cousin Rosemary, my only remaining first cousin, is dying slowly of kidney cancer. She opted not to have surgery or chemo. She's 93. This makes me sad.
BUT......THIS MAKES ME HAPPY.....THIS BEAUTIFUL PICTURE OF LAURA AND DREW!
