Bullying Gay Kids

I've sat with many a crying teenager and listened, because their parents couldn't accept them as they were. I've marveled at a world of small minded people that cannot see all its wonders because of phoney religious beliefs that have been fostered (not by Jesus's teachings) by religious crackpots who misinterpret what they have NOT read in their Bible. I marvel at a world of "Christian" nuts who have never read the Bible, but preach what they "think" it says daily. I believe that our WHOLE problem in this country is that we have allowed ourselves to be preached to and at and have not taken the responsibility of seeking the truth for ourselves individually. The blind leading the blind are trampling on INNOCENT HUMAN BEINGS WHO HAVE THE POTENTIAL TO MAKE A POSITIVE DIFFERENCE IN THIS WORLD. I knew twenty years ago that the religious right was going to prove to be the fall of our government. And I still think it is.
